8am – Our meeting point will be right outside the Bar des Palmistes. Then off to a 3-hour walking tour of Cayenne to explore its sights, history and architecture.

You’ll start by climbing up the 115ft-high Cépénou hill. Its summit affords a panoramic view of the island of Cayenne and your guide will deliver full information on the origins and development of the city.

Later walks will take you through numerous key spots of historical, cultural or natural interest, incl. civil, religious and military monuments but also coastline areas harboring special fauna and flora.

Your trip ends around noon at Cayenne market.
